Back To School Prayers Day 11

Dear Jesus, sports seem to get a lot of attention in schools, but we place you high above games, athletes, rivalries and winning.  Give our young people healthy attitudes toward competition, and keep them from pride and idolatry.  May Christlikeness be their ultimate goal.  Help them remember the words of Phillipians 2:3 “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.”  Thank you Jesus, we pray this in your holy name, Amen.

Back to School Prayer – Day 2

Lord, in 1 Peter 2:9 it says “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

Join the PrayerWorks Prayer Team and ask that every student will feel that they “belong” – that they are important this coming school year.

Embrace them, Jesus. Let them know they are yours and a part of your kingdom.

Make our students an instrument of your love and acceptance, so that others may be called into your wonderful light. In Jesus name, Amen.

I Am Not…

You know sometime when a person fails, they hear that voice of accusation. It makes you feel lousy about yourself…like you are not good enough.

When that happens consider saying this,  “I’m not my failure, I’m not my mistake, there is therefore now no condemnation in Christ! Jesus has paid it all at the cross, so today, I can receive the gift of no condemnation and grace!”

Then you can rest easy because Jesus bore the penalty of all our sins and failures – at the cross. Today you can come boldly to your Lord’s throne of grace!

“There is no condemnation now for those who live in union with Christ Jesus.” ~ Romans 8:1 (GNT)
