Hillary Scott new album “Obedience to God.”

Hillary Scott is the seven-time Grammy Award-winning singer of the country music trio Lady Antebellum, but on Friday she will release her first Christian album.

Joined by her parents, Lang Scott and Linda Davis, and her sister Rylee, Hillary Scott and The Scott Family recorded an album that began as a five-song “thank you” to friends who supported the family following Scott’s grandfather’s passing in 2011. However, the album evolved into what Scott calls an act of obedience.

“It was just something that was in my heart,” Scott told the Christian Post. “God put it in my heart and I felt like making this album with my family was us, as a family, walking in obedience.”

Hillary Scott and The Scott Family released the first single off their album in June titled, “Thy Will,” which Scott revealed to ABC’s Good Morning America was inspired by her own miscarriage.

“It’s hard to count it all joy, distracted by the noise,” Scott sings on the track. “Trying to make sense of all the promises. Sometimes I’ve got to stop, remember that you’re God and I am not.”

The album’s title track, “Love Remains,” tells of various places love is found in one’s journey through life.

God Opens Doors

Sharing Hope: “I will give him the key to the house of David–the highest position in the royal court. When he opens doors, no one will be able to close them; when he closes doors, no one will be able to open them.” ~ Isaiah 22:22

Usually you know it’s an open door from God when you have to rely on Him. You’ll need to ask Him to strengthen you and help you daily. If God doesn’t make a way there will be no way. Seek first God’s Kingdom. Open doors will strengthen your prayer life and faith.

Remember the Holy Spirit will give you an uneasy feeling if He wants you to keep a door closed. Keep on knocking on God’s door. When the time is right He will fully open the door.
