Immaturity talks when it should listen, and is silent when it should speak.  – Matt Chandler

Recently, Tim S. and I were talking about listening and talking. There is a time for everything. A time to listen and a time to speak. How do you know?

Take a few seconds before beginning to speak and ask yourself the question, “How can I say what I am going to say in the most efficient and clear way possible?” Or “Should I just be listening intently to the person talking. When you’re listening, don’t think about what your gonna say, “Just listen”. You will find that the amount of things you say will decrease and people’s responses will generally be more lighthearted.
