God’s Workmanship

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” – Ephesians 2:10

Years ago in New Jersey, there was a man who advertised he was going to play a concert on an extremely valuable violin. People came from miles around to hear him play. He stepped on stage, tucked his instrument under his chin and played.

It was amazing! The crowd was completely in awe of the music, the melody and the monumental display of showmanship with the violin. When he finished with the song, the crowd was awestruck. A display of impressive detail from the man and the violin.

Suddenly the man took the violin and smashed it to pieces. The crowd was completely in shock, dumbstruck. Why would he do such a thing?

He replied as he pulled his “famous” violin from another case. The concert he just played was from a violin he bought for only a few dollars. Yo see it not the violin but the maestro who draws the bow who can make the music with your life.
