Flash Flood Warning
National Weather Service Shreveport LA
1157 PM CDT MON OCT 15 2018

The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Nacogdoches County in eastern Texas…
Angelina County in eastern Texas…

* Until 600 AM CDT Tuesday.

* At 1155 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the
warned area. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen. Flash
flooding is expected.

* Some locations experiencing flooding include
Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Diboll, Hudson, Huntington, Melrose, Woden,
Pollok, Etoile, Martinsville, Burke, Appleby, Chireno, Shawnee,
Clawson, Central, Redland, Homer.

Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible in the
warned area. Heavier rainfall amounts of near one half inch per
hour has occurred
.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
