Record Voting Nationwide


Record voter turnouts continued on Election Day. Circa reports, “This 2018 Midterm Election exceeded 50% of the of eligible voters, a new record”. Officials say, 1914 was the last time this occurred and was also during a midterm elections cycle.

According to the United States Elections Project, some of the states with the highest turnout included:

  • Minnesota with a 129-percent increase in comparison to the 2014 midterm,
  • Texas with 136 percent,
  • New Jersey with 287.2 percent,
  • Utah with 322.3 percent, and
  • Massachusetts with at least a 324-percent increase.
