Repeat after me: I will not Compare Myself to Strangers on the Internet. – Caroline Leaf
It’s virtually impossible for us not to compare ourselves to others. So, When is comparison healthy?
Comparison comes natural to most of us. Experts argue it is an integral to your growth. It’s important to recognize that fear is inherent in comparison. We are in a constant search for likeness and familiarity, and we find discomfort in the things we can’t understand or comprehend. It’s a natural tendency for us to make comparisons, but when we don’t know how to make proper comparisons we run the risk of negatively affecting ourselves. Seek answers from many sources, including the bible, before you anchor on the wrong decision about yourself.
“Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”
“The master has failed more times than the beginner has even tried.”
