Missing in action for 76 years, the remains of a World War II veteran have finally been returned to his Louisville home.

John Bayens, of Louisville, was killed in 1943 in the Gilbert Islands in the Pacific Ocean. Archaeologists have spent the past several years going the painstaking process of digging up remains of hundreds of Marines buried there.
