From the desk of Dr. Noel Dear, Pastor, FBC Nacogdoches
We would like for you to join us for public prayer for our National, State and Local leaders during this time of the COVID 19 pandemic. We just obtained a permit from the City of Nacogdoches for a public gathering to join the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 7th during the noon hour at the Nacogdoches Visitors Center on the City Square Downtown.
We will be stressing that everyone keep a safe distance to prevent the spread of the virus that is afflicting our community and nation. We want to make a public statement that as Christian Leaders, we believe that God, not government, is our refuge and hope for ending this crisis. We will be praying for our Heavenly Father to heal those who are afflicted and protect those who have thus far escaped this horrible pandemic. Nacogdoches County has the second largest number of Coronavirus patients in Deep East Texas.
We recommend that you wear some form of protective covering over your nose and mouth, as requested by our public officials. And bring lawn chairs as there will be no seating provided.
