But the Lord Stood with me and Gave me Strength… 2 Timothy 4:17
The Lord helps you in your weakness and gives you strength to face situations, people and things from becoming more powerful than you can handle. He says, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
When you can’t face something with your physical or mental strength, you can when you reach for Jesus hand through you friends and family standing in the gap for you. When God is by your side (through your family) you’re not alone!
“Beginning well is a Momentary thing: Finishing well is a Lifelong thing.” ~ Ravi Zacharias
2 Timothy 4:7 – “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
Philippians 3:14 ~ “I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
Hebrews 12:1 ~ “Since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.”
God will stand with you and give you strength!
For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:6,7
You have the Spirit of love and of self-control residing within you. You also have a divine calling. Fan that calling into flame and do not be afraid of where it takes you. Trust God with your path and ask Him for the strength, endurance, tenacity, boldness and mercy to live it to the fullest, for His glory! (thedailyverse.com)
Dear Lord, we pray for every Christian in our schools to be bold in their witness for Christ. In the book of 2nd Timothy we hear that you did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self–discipline. Help each believer walk in that spirit and may they not be ashamed to speak your name and share your goodness. Give them opportunities to share their faith. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
