Church Celebrates 125 Years

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) – A Nacogdoches church is celebrating 125 years of service in the community.
“It means faithfulness. It means people have worked and worshiped and served Christ for 125 years honoring God and honoring Jesus,” said Pastor Steve Newton. “It’s by God’s grace, it’s an example of God’s grace for keeping us around that long.”

News: Fema ends policy discriminating against Churches & Synagogues

WASHINGTON, D.C. – FEMA announced a new policy today that ought to put an end to its discrimination against churches, synagogues, and other houses of worship.

The new policy comes in response to two lawsuits brought by three Texas churches and two Florida synagogues seeking immediate and equal access to disaster relief aid.

FEMA says that the new policy is required by the Supreme Court’s June 2017 decision.
