Last week I was worried about Michelle, my wife. She was in Orlando, Florida with Hurricane Erma targeting her and about 800 to a thousand people in the music and Radio Industry.
I know I needed to Trust God with her wellbeing. I found out for the first time in my life, my loved one was out of reach, not safe. I couldn’t help her. She was totally in God hands.
It’s easy to say you’re going to do trust God, but saying it and living it are two different things. At one point, I literally felt helpless.
Have you ever felt like you were in a similar situation? Circumstances dictated where you were and did not allow you to help or be in control.
Maybe you’ve had a similar experience, where circumstances made you feel out of control. Call, or go on line at kswp.org/prayer or kswp.org/praise and share you Story and the outcome.
God is always so good to me! As I sought His Word, He filled me with a peace… it passed all human understanding. There was no earthly reason for me to calm down, yet, I did.
He gave me this, “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 (NIV)
Michelle flew home safe the next day (Saturday)!
“For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.” Deuteronomy 20:4
[After you read the testimony offered here, Scroll down for the group Newsong’s “Hope Changes Everything”]
We’ve heard many things you’ve done to reach to our Texas friends. Whether help came from far away or close to home, you have “Served Others by being Real” in the midst of a horrific storm. The Hope you poured out Changes Everything!
The Ministry continues to hear from people driving from far away states, Nevada, Ohio, (the list is long), to as close as the next town over … Many of you sharing stories of how you saw Christ in so many people who were helping.
As assistance continues & remains a need, remember each day before it ends to thank God for moving on so many hearts offering help to others! You’re love “Connects people to a Real and Loving God.” God moved on your heart to “Share the Hope of Jesus and Know it Changes Lives!”
“When You Through Deep Waters, God says, I Will be with You!” ~ Isaiah 43:2
No matter what you face in the future, you will never face it alone. This is the key to courage: There is nothing to fear when you know God is near.
Some of you feel alone right now. You may feel it, but you’re not! You’re not alone. God sees what you’re going through. God cares about what you’re going through. God’s going through that situation with you, and he will help you out if you trust him. Remember, one plus God equals a majority.
“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” (Isaiah 43:2 NLT)
Running from God? Been there, bought the t/shirt!
“Jonah went 2500 miles out the way running from God. Talk about a wrong turn! The good news? God gives a second chance to turn around.” ~ Kurt Wallace
You would think a life-threatening sea storm and a few days in a fish’s belly would shake some sense into a person. Yet that wasn’t the case with Jonah. The final paragraphs of his story reveal a vengeful prophet who obeyed the Lord but allowed his heart to remain on the run.
Jonah paid a big price for running from God. Perhaps you have a habit, a plan, or a current course and you know it defies God’s will. Have you considered the cost?
There are consequences for wrongdoing. The Lord is holy and righteous, and allowing people to get away with sin is simply incompatible God’s plan for you. What’s more, the price for following your own will is high.

What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us!
Ralph Waldo Emerson
God’s Word says, “I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Phillippians 3:13-14
