Imagine It for Real

If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it.“ ~ William Arthur Ward

Faith is an act of the imagination. And a healthy, vibrant imagination is crucial to the Christian life. You will likely disagree with these statements if you associate the imagination with delusion.

Now to the one who can do infinitely more than all we can ask or imagine according to the power that is working among us.“ ~ Ephesians 3:20

Then I sent to him, saying, There are no such things done as you say, but you imagine them out of your own heart.“ ~ Nehemiah 6:8

Build Confidence as you Lift More and More

Build Confidence as you Lift More and More

An Exercise For You: Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at each side.

With a 5-lb potato bag in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold the there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute, and then relax.

Each day you’ll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer.

After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato bags. Then try 50-lb potato bags and eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-lb potato bag in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a few minutes. (I’m at this level)

After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each bag.
