Star Wars movie star John Boyega is set to executive produce a crime-thriller about family, community, race and faith called God Is Good.

Boyega is an outspoken Christian actor from England who is popularly known for his role as Finn in the 2015 and 2017 Star Wars movies, but this time Boyega is taking on a different role as he will be tasked with overseeing the production of the God Is Good soundtrack.

According to Deadline, the English-language, South African film will tell the story of a “reformed gangster-turned-pastor and a volatile detective who cross paths after an act of brutal violence sets them on collision course with a heinous gang lieutenant.”

The Shack – Hmmmm

Michelle and I went to see the “Shack.” Several of our friends, [who have read the book or seen the movie like we have], have varied opinions.

Here are some audio clips from a “Couple of different listener” opinions on “The Shack”…

Several of our friends commented with their views below;

  • “It’s only a movie… Not a definition of what God is or isn’t but very thought provoking for my Wife and I.” Jerry S
  • “I liked the movie, as a movie, but was uncomfortable with the story line – only because it was very real for my husband and me. We lost of a child several years ago. So the loss is still there. But, at the same time, the way the movie producers handle the loss was “comforting.” I believe they put a lot of thought into how to handle the little girls death and they were  careful with where the little girl was, & how the movie dealt with heaven. I recommend it! It will make you think about your relationship with God and with others. It did me!” Judy and Sam

God_answers_prayerPrayerWorks: Thank you for your prayers. A couple months ago I shared that I was concerned about my husband and possible early Alzheimer’s. Your prayers for me and us have helped. I have peace now! Thank you. The Lord is so good to us! I have more peace and I was able to fine resources on the Alzheimer’s website. I even got a very long explanation from a social worker who answers people’s questions on this disease. I know the Lord will guide me through this and I feel more at ease. Thanks so much and God Bless you all! Cathy

PluggedIn Movie Review: “Risen”
“I’m yet sticky with filth.” – So the Roman tribune Clavius tells a messenger when he’s summoned to appear before Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor of Judea. No matter, the man says. Pilate summons you. And when a man with the power Pilate wields summons you, obedience is the only option. Continue reading
