But the Lord Stood with me and Gave me Strength… 2 Timothy 4:17
The Lord helps you in your weakness and gives you strength to face situations, people and things from becoming more powerful than you can handle. He says, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
When you can’t face something with your physical or mental strength, you can when you reach for Jesus hand through you friends and family standing in the gap for you. When God is by your side (through your family) you’re not alone!
The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time. Psalm 34:19 (NLT)
Many people think that God has given them a tough life, whereas some others are having an easy life. Sometimes we feel that we suffer far more than others. But this is simply not the case, everyone has unique troubles. Your friends may not have the same trouble as yours; you may not have the same problems as mine. Everyone has their own share of struggle but the Lord has promised to be with us and deliver us from all our troubles.
Proverbs 28 (NIV) “The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.“
Many people believe righteousness is a list of things that they have to do, and if they fulfill this list, they feel “righteous.”
On the other side of this thought is the belief that when a person fails in terms of their behavior, they feel “unrighteous.”
What do you think the right definition is for righteousness?
Michelle and I believe that God made Jesus become sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. You are not righteous because you do right. You were made righteous because of what Jesus did for you at the cross! It was a divine transfer. He took our place and now when God sees us God sees us as righteous because the faith and work of Christ.
God made Him (Jesus) who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. ~ 2 Corinthians 5:21
