Truth Never Changes – Dangerous Heat Coming

Truth never changes. Taste, culture and style don’t affect truth ever. When you start to complain or call someone else out, first think about where God’s truth is in this discussion. It’s a great re-set every time.

Be Willing To Seek Him Out

seek god…Jesus could no longer openly enter a town, but was out in desolate places, and people were coming to him from every quarter. Mark 1:45b

There are times when we perceive God as very close. There are times when we perceive God as far away, in deserted places as described in this passage. Let us be like the people with hearts yearning for the healing touch of their Savior, willing to seek him out, even when He seems far away and hard to find.

A Time for Everything

GoodMorningThoughtEcclesiastes 3 (ESV) ~ For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:

a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…God made us to seek after him and find him (Acts 17:27-28). Try to imagine the astounding reality of this truth: the God of the Universe is thrilled to see us when we come home to him! Is it any wonder that he longs for us to seek him so he can welcome us with the same joy as the father welcomed the son back again (Luke 15:11-31)?
My Prayer…Father, while there are many things that my selfish heart seeks after, deep inside I know that what I need most, and what I seek most right now, is to know you in a more holy and majestic way. In Jesus’ name I seek you. Amen. (verseoftheday)
