Loved people love. When you share God’s love others will return love.
Those that feel that God is hard on them are hard on others. Those that feel that God is gracious toward them are gracious to others.
When people have a sense of Grace, they become gracious. Today we can receive good we don’t deserve because someone took all the bad He did not deserve. Grace brings eternal peace to the troubled soul of every child of God.
For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ! ~ Romans 5:17 (NIV)
Jesus said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” ~ Matthew 22:37-40 Like, Share and Comment please.
“Promise little and do much.” – Hebrew (on the conduct of life)
“What good is running when you’re on the wrong road.” – German (on planning)
“Children have more need of models than critics.”- (A Wise Man once said)
Rest: “I have calmed and quieted myself, like a weaned child who no longer cries for its mother’s milk. Yes, like a weaned child is my soul within me. O Israel, put your hope in the Lord— now and always. Psalm 131:2-3
While on the woman’s retreat Michelle and her mother were talking about this scripture. As she shared it with me, my spirit and soul leaped inside as Michelle explained the meaning. When a child is not weaned he or she is looking for substance, food and comfort. Once weaned and sitting in their mother’s lap, the baby can be a rest enjoying the comfort of their mother’s love.
If you’re like me, the behind the scenes day to day at the radio station can probably be like your work or home atmosphere can stress you to the max. I know in my mind what’s going on, I not letting go and allowing God to guide the steps of the day. “So, right now, I repent of my works and fall on Your mercies God. Forgive me. May I have your peace like this child in Psalm 131. Thank you God for your rest today even while I am toiling at work or home. In Jesus Name, amen.”
Oops! Cell Phone Story Yesterday
According to Snopes the cell phone story about your number going public is false. Calling the 888 number we listed yesterday provides some but very little protection and there has never been a deadline – Once you have called the number you are good for life. (Snopes)
Recent Lesson Learned…. What are you feeding your mind?
Over the past few months I’ve had the opportunity to attend some spiritual retreats. Each one challenging me in an intense way. I’m sure you have probably experienced this same feeling. You come back pumped up on love, joy peace and determined to change your life and circumstances. sometimes it’s 2 days sometimes it’s a couple of months but you find yourself slipping back into your old stressed non full of faith self. On my most recent journey I am analyzing what goes into my mind. If you dwell on spiritual things long enough the things of this world seem so pointless. The question I’ve been asking myself is… Is my conversation edifying to those who are listening? Is what I’m watching building me up or tearing me down? Is the activity I’m engaged in have lasting value to me or my family? I’m finding some surprising answers…
New Matthew West Project: Singer gives voice to the stories of thousands
West has written 11 songs based on some of the stories sent in by his fans. The result is the aptly named “The Story of Your Life,” which released last week and rose to No. 16 on the iTunes most downloaded album chart. West’s album, which tackles subjects such as sexual abuse, life with cancer, dealing with abortion, is filled with the hope. “I could just see hope at work, in different stages of these stories,” he said recently at a restaurant in his adopted hometown of Franklin. “There were people waiting for their breakthrough, waiting for their miracle.”And there were people who were standing on the other side looking back on a time when they made it through and talking about how God was faithful to them in their lives.” At one time, having read through many of the stories, West was terrified it was going to be the most depressing record anyone had ever done. He looks at the result of the past eight months and thinks this is the “most uplifting record I have ever made.” (CNN News)
