A Christmas State of Mind

Christmas is not a time or a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas.” — Calvin Coolidge

Morning Moments:
1. The Grinch thought, “Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas perhaps. . . means a little bit more.”

2. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. ~ 2 Corinthians 8:9

3. When we think of God, we think of the most powerful and richest being in the whole universe. Yet, our Lord Jesus was actually born into a poor family? We know this from the offering His mother Mary brought to the temple after Jesus was born, according to the Law for purification. (Luke 2:22–24) She brought a pair of turtledoves or young pigeons, which was the only type of offering the poor could afford. (Leviticus 12:2, 8)

But with Jesus in their lives, Mary and her husband Joseph didn’t remain poor. Wise men came to Jesus with treasures—“And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.” (Matthew 2:11)

You can find God Everywhere

If you’ve ever felt all alone and yet you were in the middle of an auditorium of people, it was a weird sensation.

I found myself in a dry place in life and spiritually. I knew, because this wasn’t the first time, I needed to get with the Lord and Listen.

It had to start with looking a God’s creation, nature. Wow, how beautiful!

I then thought of my new grand baby. A masterpiece. Which lead me to think about God’s Son. Though Him, God did it all. Christ made a way for you and I, even when we didn’t think there was a way!

1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber.

Psalm 121:1-3

Break Through

  • We would love to hear your story about one of the questions to follow. Use the comment section or call KSWP @ 800-944-8443
  • When was the time you had to push right through the center of your fear in order to get to your break through?
  • Tell me about a time that fear held you back from fulfilling your calling. Tell me about when you finally broke through?
  • Dr Charles Stanley says:
Many people won’t commit to serve God because of fear of failure. What is the fear that’s kept you from diving in fully?
  • For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us Power, Love and Self-Discipline. (some say, Power, Love and Sound Mind) So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me
  • Praying for all our students headed to schools today!
