Teens aren’t Getting Summer Jobs

According to a report from Consumerist, Teens say, “They’re too Busy Studying to get Simmer Jobs.” It was once a rite of passage for American teenagers: Spend the summer slinging burgers, watching over the frolicking kids at the local pools, hawking apparel at the mall, or babysitting for the neighbor in order to earn a few bucks.

The Power of Praying for Your Children
The sobering news about raising children is that we really have no ultimate control over whether our child will choose the narrow gate that leads to life (Matthew 7:14) or the wide gate that leads to destruction. If other experiences in life have not humbled us and shown us how dependent we are on God, then parenting a preadolescence or teenager will.

  1. Pray regularly.
  2. Pray offensively.
  3. Pray defensively.
  4. Pray intensely.
  5. Pray with your child.
  6. Pray together as a couple.
