Strange Decisions when Stressed

People make strange decisions when they are stressed.

What is the “Strangest Decision” you have ever made when you were stressed?

Here’s a few of those decisions, They really happened the weekend of the Hurricane:

  • One man was tying himself to a telephone pole to weather the storm.
  • Another was kite surfing in the huge waves.
  • Another man, donned what appears to be a snorkeling mask, said that “he’s going ride out Hurricane Irma in a store front on Duval Street and won’t evacuate.
When You feel Out of Control

When You feel Out of Control

Last week I was worried about Michelle, my wife. She was in Orlando, Florida with Hurricane Erma targeting her and about 800 to a thousand people in the music and Radio Industry.

I know I needed to Trust God with her wellbeing. I found out for the first time in my life, my loved one was out of reach, not safe. I couldn’t help her. She was totally in God hands.

It’s easy to say you’re going to do trust God, but saying it and living it are two different things. At one point, I literally felt helpless.

Have you ever felt like you were in a similar situation? Circumstances dictated where you were and did not allow you to help or be in control.

Maybe you’ve had a similar experience, where circumstances made you feel out of control. Call, or go on line at kswp.org/prayer or kswp.org/praise and share you Story and the outcome.

God is always so good to me! As I sought His Word, He filled me with a peace… it passed all human understanding. There was no earthly reason for me to calm down, yet, I did.

He gave me this, “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 (NIV)

Michelle flew home safe the next day (Saturday)!

Hope

Hope

Hope: Sometimes that’s all You have when you have nothing else. If you have it, You have Everything.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

“Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.”
Psalm 42:11

I’ll Be With You

I’ll Be With You

When You Through Deep Waters, God says, I Will be with You!” ~ Isaiah 43:2

No matter what you face in the future, you will never face it alone. This is the key to courage: There is nothing to fear when you know God is near.

Some of you feel alone right now. You may feel it, but you’re not! You’re not alone. God sees what you’re going through. God cares about what you’re going through. God’s going through that situation with you, and he will help you out if you trust him. Remember, one plus God equals a majority.

“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” (Isaiah 43:2 NLT)
